Yes that’s a shortcut for Robots Cup 2006! Tomorrow in Germany Robots soccer world cup will take place. More than 400 teams from 40 different countries will compete to win the RoboCup! The robots are programmed to do anything a real soccer player can do. Artificial Intelligence folks will definitely be watching RoboCup more than anyone else.
German researchers play a key role in developing robots that will take the field against a human soccer team - and win - by 2050! Who knows, an IBM chess machine was able to beat the world chess champion ten years ago!!
